CREATIVE SOLUTION
The primary focus of the project is to consolidate and relocate the hospital’s existing double patient rooms into a modern facility, with single occupancy rooms focused on patient centered design.  The major features include canted private rooms with integral family areas, a decentralized nursing concept, and a direct connection to existing hospital clinical areas.

Another major element of the project is the creation of a main lobby and corridor that organizes and simplifies the movement of patients and visitors upon their arrival to the hospital.  This design consolidates registration and pre-admission testing to one location, directly adjacent to the main lobby.  The main lobby creates a new modern image for the hospital, with sensitive design details that humanize the space. Relocation of the lab and pharmacy into the new building allows for the logical expansion of Radiology and Cardiac Services into the vacated space accommodating clinical expansion for anticipated patient volume growth.
