As Relationship Manager, Cathy Richter is responsible for strengthening the communication between the client and the Pratt Design Studio team. In this role, she is the liaison between the client and the design team to assure a cohesive process throughout the project. As a firm that is extremely focused on building and maintaining strong client relationships, Cathy is integral to the process of any project Pratt Design Studio undertakes.
Cathy brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare design industry and has been with Pratt Design Studio for over three years. As a client advocate, she listens, anticipates, identifies and corrects any potential issues which might occur at any time during the relationship. She is parallel to the design team yet performs her role in a separate capacity - periodically meeting with the client to listen and understand how the team is performing, and then to understand if changes need to happen to improve the success of the project and the communication with all involved. The client is heard. Her professional career has focused on strengthening relationships, communicating effectively and applying these strengths to create meaningful business associations and partnerships.
Cathy is a graduate of Stephens College in Missouri with a degree in Marketing; Public Relations and Advertising. She is a Board Member of the Healthcare Facilities Symposium, 2007-08, and is professionally associated with Healthcare Design ’04, ’05, ’06, ’07 and the American Society for Hospital Engineering (ASHE), Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF), Evidence Based Design Accreditation and Certification Planning Committee, Healthcare Facilities Symposium 2006 -07 Regional Advisory Committee, Society for Arts in Healthcare 2006 Planning Committee and is a Board Member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
